Innovita Gas Water Heater Pressure Differential Valve – Primo 6 & Primo 11
This Genuine Pressure Differential Valve from Innovita has been specifically designed to replace the existing one on your Primo 6 and Primo 11 Instant Gas Water Heaters. Its job is to pick up on the drop in water pressure when you turn the hot tap on - this pressure drop is needed for the gas valve to actually let gas into the Heater to get it going. But if this valve goes bad - it just won't be able to give the signal you need to turn the gas on when you've got low or average water flow going - so the Heater will either not light up at all or won't light up til you turn the tap almost all the way open. Works perfectly on both the Primo 6 & 11 models.
Common Problems This Part Can Fix
Low Water Flow Won't Trigger Heater - You need a certain amount of pressure drop to get this thing to work. If the valve is either worn out or damaged, it won't make enough pressure drop when you just gently open the tap, then the Heater just won't turn on regardless of the water flow or pressure behind it.
Unpredictable Activation of Heater - If the valve is only partially on its last legs, it can be a real pain because it might work fine one day, and then the next day it won't. That's just going to keep the burner on the Heater randomly turning off and on as you run hot water through it.
