The Hi-Limit Thermostat is a Safety Cutout Overheat Device; It Cuts Off Gas Supply When the Heat Exchanger Reaches Unsafe Operating Temperature. When it Fails Open, the Appliance Locks Out and Will Not Fire Again. Compatible with Both Models Primo 6 & Primo 11.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
Lock-Out Condition of the Appliance Which Does Not Permit the Burner to Operate After Overheating - The Hi-Limit Thermostat Is a Non Self Resetting Safety Device. If the Appliance Has Overheated and the Thermostat Has Tripped, the Heater Will Not Function Again Until the Thermostat is Reset or Replaced. A Thermostat which Has Been Tripped and Will Not Reset Must Be Replaced.
Will Not Fire Despite No History of Overheating - An Internal Failure of the Hi Limit Thermostat Will Present as a Permanent Lockout - Even Though All Other Components Are Functional, the Burner Will Never Operate.
