Innovita Gas Water Heater Pilot Burner Assembly – Primo 6 & Primo 11
Genuine pilot burner assembly to replace the entire pilot burner unit for all Innovita Primo 6 and Primo 11 Instantaneous gas water heaters when the pilot burner will not clean properly to give you the correct blue cone pilot flame. The same pilot burner assembly fits both Primo 6 and Primo 11 water heaters.
Common Problems This Part Fixes
The pilot flame burns yellow or orange instead of blue (this is normal) — The pilot flame from both of these units should burn as a perfect blue cone. Yellow or orange flames are indicative of either the pilot burner being partially clogged or having some type of degradation occurring.
Cleaning the pilot burner will solve this issue only if the previous problems were due to debris accumulation. If it does not, then you need to replace the entire pilot burner assembly.
Weaker/Unreliable Pilot Flame — If there is an insufficient sized pilot flame or a non-consistent pilot flame, then it may not be able to consistently light the main burner of the appliance. Inconsistent lighting of the main burner can result in less-than-expected hot water supply and/or appliance shut-downs.
Pilot Won’t Stay Lit — A pilot burner that lights but does not continue to burn once the thermocouple has satisfied itself that there is no flame present may mean that the pilot burner head is either clogged or damaged. It does NOT necessarily mean that the thermocouple is at fault.
Visible Damage/Damage/Clogging Found During Annual Service — As per the Innovita Service Manual, the pilot burner should be inspected annually. When damage, corrosion or clogs are found which cannot be removed through cleaning, then it's time to replace the entire pilot burner assembly.
