The Testo 760-1 is a digital multimeter with automatic measurement parameter detection, removing the traditional rotary dial in favour of function keys. Rather than manually selecting a function, the meter detects which measurement sockets are engaged and automatically configures itself, illuminating the relevant function key. If a measurement is attempted on a socket connection the instrument doesn't expect, it displays an error rather than a false reading — making incorrect settings effectively impossible.
It measures AC/DC voltage from 0.1mV to 600V, AC/DC current from 1mA to 10A, resistance from 0.1Ω to 40MΩ, frequency from 0.001Hz to 500kHz and capacitance from 0.001nF to 100μF, along with diode and continuity testing. Readings are shown on a 4,000 count backlit display.
