The Testo 770-3 is the most advanced model in Testo's clamp meter range - a True RMS clamp meter with retractable pincer arm, Bluetooth connectivity to the Testo Smart App, and measurement ranges covering current (AC/DC up to 600A and μA), voltage (up to 1000V AC), resistance, capacitance, frequency, power, continuity, diode and temperature via the included Type K adapter. The premium kit (0590 7703 03) adds crocodile clips, micro clips, magnetic holder and test protocol to the standard kit contents.
In plain terms, a clamp meter is an electrical tester that measures current by clamping around a cable, without needing to break the circuit. The 770-3 takes this further with a retractable pincer arm that slides apart to reach individual cables in tightly packed consumer units and panels where a fixed-jaw clamp can't get around a single cable.
