A Gold Seal 1/2" gas solenoid safety shut-off valve that automatically resets itself when power comes back on. EN 161 Class A, CE marked, and 230V AC. 15mm nominal bore, 360mbar max inlet, and rated IP54 for protection against the elements. For CPI or gas proving connections the valve has G¼ ports on both sides and the bottom. A blue neon light tells you the valve is powered and open. It's made of aluminium alloy and handles natural gas, LPG and non-aggressive gases. The unit itself is 115 × 71 × 72mm and weighs 0.91kg. Comes with a 1 year warranty.
The GSV15G is a big bore gas solenoid valve, its 15mm nominal bore is a lot bigger than the Elektrogas 1/4" range – 15mm compared to a paltry 4mm – so you might want to think about it for use on your gas distribution mains and in commercial kitchens where you really need a good flow rate. Like the smaller versions, it's normally closed and fails safe (it will shut itself off if the power goes), and the auto reset means it will spring back open when the power is restored.
Those big G¼ ports on the side and bottom of the valve are useful for commercial kitchen and interlock applications – you can plug in a CPI switch to give you a remote readout on the valve's position, or hook it into a gas proving system circuit. That makes this valve a good choice for installations that have to meet BS 6173 requirements for gas proving on your appliances (the ones that don't have a flame failure device).
