10mm x 25m Yellow Plastic Coated Copper Pipe Coil

Bare copper can corrode or be damaged on exposed or buried runs, and in a loft, void or wall it's easy to lose track of which pipe carries what. Plastic-coated copper tube solves both: Lawton's coating gives enhanced protection against external corrosion, impact damage and mechanical loading during transport and installation, and the yellow colour identifies the pipe as gas pipework.
This 10mm x 25m coil has a 0.7mm wall and is soft (R220) copper tube made to EN 1057, so it bends easily by hand or with a bending spring and runs for up to 25m in one length with no joints. The coating makes it useful where pipe runs outdoors or underground, or passes through walls.
The coating must be removed at joints, and the exposed area re-protected following the manufacturer's guidance. Gas work must be carried out by a suitably qualified, registered gas installer in accordance with the relevant standards.
On gas pipework, a coated tube protects the copper where it's exposed to damp, soil or knocks, and the yellow colour tells anyone who finds the pipe what it carries. One 25m coil also keeps joints to a minimum, which means fewer points to make and check.
