The Primofit range of compression fittings are the standard solution for connecting yellow MDPE gas pipe to steel threaded fittings at the entry point into a building or at a service connection. The 3/4" BSPM × 25mm version connects 25mm yellow MDPE gas pipe to a 3/4" BSP male threaded steel pipe end — the compression end grips the MDPE pipe mechanically without welding or heat fusion. The 6° angular deflection allowance accommodates slight misalignment in the pipe run. Insert stiffeners are supplied for use within the MDPE pipe to maintain the bore at the compression end. The galvanised malleable iron body accepts a GRP sleeve for wall-penetration or bracket-mounted installations where additional physical protection of the transition fitting is required.
