Primofit® Galv Gas Elbow 3/4" x 25mm MDPE with GRP Sleeve
Where a straight run isn't possible, this Primofit® elbow gives a 90° transition between yellow MDPE gas pipe and 3/4" steel pipework, connecting without welding, threading, or specialist fusion tooling. The compression end grips 25mm MDPE pipe mechanically, with the insert stiffener supplied to maintain the pipe's shape under compression.
The galvanised malleable iron body meets BS EN 10255 and BS EN 10220, and the fitting is rated to 7 bar at 20°C — worth noting that the actual maximum operating pressure in a given installation also depends on the specification of the MDPE pipe being connected, not the fitting alone. Up to 6° of angular deflection is built in, giving some tolerance for minor pipe misalignment during installation, and the GRP sleeve adds extra mechanical protection at the transition point.
