A filler hose T-adaptor is a conversion tool that converts a Gaslow no.1 cylinder into a no.2 cylinder connection. This is necessary for converting a twin cylinder Gaslow system to a twin cylinder system. The main benefit of the t-adaptor is it does not increase the total height of the cylinder. It is especially beneficial for use with the 2.7 kg twin cylinder Gaslow system used in small campervans and compact lockers.
There are several different ways to install a twin cylinder gaslow system. Typically, you can connect two cylinders together using an adapter such as the 01-4200 connector hose. The hoses will extend from each valve top. The problem with this type of installation is if your gas locker has a height limit and/or insufficient room above the valve for the extended length of the connector hose, you will not have enough space. To resolve this issue, the 01-4212 T-adaptor allows you to create a horizontal extension instead of an upward one. Therefore, the entire assembly will remain below the height limit of the gas locker.
This product connects directly to the fill valve on the No.1 cylinder and extends to provide a dual connection for both the fill hose run and for connecting to the No.2 cylinder. It does so in a t-shaped design that extends out laterally versus extending up. Gaslow recommends the 01-4212 for installations involving a second 2.7kg cylinder being installed into a small locker. If your application requires a lateral exit instead of an upward exit, a side-exit version called the 01-4214 is also available.
