Gas locker height restriction above the No.2 cylinder — When there is insufficient clearance above the second cylinder's fill valve for the connector hose to exit straight up without bending sharply against the locker roof, the 90° adaptor turns the fill valve connection sideways so the hose can route horizontally rather than vertically. This prevents sharp bends and hose kinking at the valve.
Filler kit hose routing through an access door or panel — When installing the 01-4100 filler kit, if there is limited clearance behind the filler point (between the filler pod and the locker wall), the 90° adaptor allows the stainless steel hose to fold back naturally with the direction of the access door opening rather than being forced through a tight bend.
