The Duomo FP45 double current monitor will check the electrical current being drawn by two separate motors — one for each of two extraction fans — prior to permitting gas to be released to cooking equipment. This is mandatory per BS 6173:2009 for all commercial food service operations. The dual switching levels create a complete monitoring package: the lower switching point verifies the fan is working (i.e., minimum current consumption), while the upper switching point verifies the fan's load is at its expected value during normal operation (e.g., stops false alarms when the fan is still operational but its load has decreased due to a damaged belt or an impeller slipping).
The FP45 provides AC and DC current monitoring capabilities, as well as, overcurrent, undercurrent and current band operating modes. It also includes adjustable release and hysteresis thresholds, T1 and T2 type delay times, and can activate fault storage for diagnostic use. All user parameters are entered through two push buttons located on the front panel which have backlit LCD displays providing visual feedback.
Support for direct measurements of 0.1-10A, and support through a current transformer coil (50/5 to 600/5) for installations where a higher current needs to be measured.
