The Clesse Stainless Steel flexible hose assemblies meet the stringent requirements of BS6891:2015 and are designed to resist rodent damage. They are certified to have a pressure loss of 1mb per meter at 70kW, making them ideal for both single cylinder setups and two-cylinder changeover applications.
Constructed with a stainless steel convoluted wall and shielded by a UV-resistant PVC outer sleeve, Clesse hoses offer a robust and flexible option for gas installations, serving as an alternative to traditional rubber and armoured rubber hoses. They are specifically tailored for use with LPG and Natural Gas, in compliance with BS 6891:2015, BS 5482, and the Liquid Gas UK Code of Practice, ensuring high safety and performance standards.
To cater to different power requirements, Clesse hoses are available in two diameters: DN12 for installations up to 35kW and DN16 for those up to 70kW. Each size is designed to maintain a consistent 1mb pressure loss per meter, addressing the limitations of non-armoured rubber hoses which no longer fulfill the BS6891:2015 criteria.
Markings on Clesse hoses facilitate easy installation by indicating the expected pressure drop, thus helping installers comply with the BS6891 standard, which allows a maximum pressure drop of 2mb in pipework systems. For example, a 1.2m length of DN16 hose at 70kW results in a pressure drop (Pd) of 1.2mb. When the power is reduced to 50kW, the pressure drop adjusts to 0.85mb, calculated as 1.2 x (50/70).
The expected service life of Clesse hoses is approximately 10 years, although this can vary based on the specifics of the installation and usage conditions.
