This 12V DC gas solenoid safety shut off valve has 1/4″ BSP female connections. It opens upon powering, and automatically closes upon removal of power. This fail-safe type valve is ideal for use as a gas safety application. CE approved. En161 Class A. IP54. 200 mbar maximum inlet pressure. Natural gas and LPG. Can be used with a gas alarm system and/or an emergency stop switch. Mounts in any orientation. Warranty period is one year.
The Electrogas 12V DC Solenoid Valve is a gas safety shut off valve designed specifically for use on LPG and natural gas installations that require automatic gas isolation in the event of a power outage, alarm signal from a gas detection device or activation of an emergency stop switch. When unpowered this normally closed type valve will remain closed until it receives continuous power through its wiring. If you remove the power source (either from an alarm signal sent by your gas detection equipment, from an emergency stop switch or due to a power failure), the valve will close in less than one second thereby shutting off the gas supply.
The valve has 1/4″ BSP female x female connections which allows it to be installed in line within your existing gas piping. Its high level of protection against dust and moisture (IP54 rating) makes it suitable for use in wet/damp areas and can also withstand being installed in open or harsh environments. The EN161 Class A approval represents the European standard for automatic shut off valves for use in gas supply systems.
