A brass bulkhead coupling has been used as a transition fitting for caravan, motorhome and marine gas installations. It consists of a brass fitting which allows the 10mm compression nut and olive end of the copper rigid gas pipe passing through the locker wall and then transitions into the 10mm OD Fulham barbed nipple (accepting an 8mm bore gas hose) for connecting to a heater, cooker or other LPG appliance.
It passes through the locker wall/bulkhead panel using the M16 x 1.5 bulkhead thread allowing a maximum of 12 mm thick panel. This results in one approved fitting being able to provide a clean, leak free pipe penetration from the rigid copper pipe running through the locker wall into a flexible gas hose leading to an appliance.
Key Features & Benefits
On the copper pipe side it accepts a 10mm compression nut and olive termination of the rigid copper gas pipe; there is no need to use solder.
On the appliance side it accepts a 10mm OD barbed nipple which can accept a 8mm bore gas hose for connection to various appliances such as heaters, cookers etc.
The bulkhead thread used on this fitting is M16 x 1.5 and will allow up to 12mm of panel thickness thus making it suitable for most types of caravan/motor home/marine gas locker panels.
As it complies with both BS2051 part 1 and DIN EN 1254-2, therefore complying with British and European standards relating to gas fittings.
With a pressure rating exceeding 135 bar, far in excess of the domestic/mobile LPG installation pressures.
Temperature operating range of -60°c to +300°c.
Comes supplied complete with a copper olive so is ready to be fitted.
Made from high-quality British-made brass.
