The 5/16" compression bulkhead coupler has been designed to be used as a route for 5/16" copper gas pipes through locker walls and bulkheads. It will meet the requirements of BS2051 part 1 and DIN EN 1254-2. The coupler has an M12 x 1 bulk head thread which allows it to penetrate into a wall up to 10 mm thick. The couplers are rated at 135 bar and can operate down to – 60 degrees C.
The coupler makes use of two 5/16" compression ends for making the connections either side of the bulkhead. This means that when fitted together they provide a sealed connection using copper olives that do not require soldering. This makes them ideal for providing a quick and easy way to connect or disconnect the gas supply lines.
As this product is manufactured to BS2051 part 1 and complies with DIN EN 1254-2 and also meets the operational parameters of most domestic gas installations. The product has been tested to withstand operating temperatures of -60°C to 300°C. Therefore, the product would be suitable for most applications including off grid installations and marine vessels.
