The Sievert Promatic is NOT a standard roofing torch with a slightly improved ignitor -- it is a fully engineered system based upon the Promatic handle (which incorporates) the features that professional roofers working at volume require. The patented piezoelectric ignition fires without a pilot flame and is guaranteed for 30,000 ignitions; and there is a trigger ON/OFF function that shuts OFF the gas as soon as the trigger is released - the Safe2Torch-compliant dead mans' mechanism that eliminates the risk of leaving a lit torch on the membrane. The bayonet-fitted burner system permits tool-free burner changes. The swiveling hose connector on a 3/8 BSP fitting eliminates hose drag across a roof. The handle body consists of plastic composite material that has been reinforced by 30% glass fibers; and there is a combined suspension hook and foot stand for hands free stability when setting the torch down between operations.
The 60mm burner with a 600mm neck tube supplies up to 102kW output. At 4 bar, the gas consumption is approximately 8000 g/h. A 47 kg propane cylinder is recommended as the normal cylinder size for prolonged professional roofing operation at full output. Compatible with propane and butane.
