The Primofit® Adaptor 3/4" BSPM x 20mm MDPE is a gas fitting for connecting yellow MDPE gas pipe to steel pipe systems. Designed for natural gas and LPG applications, this galvanised malleable iron adaptor gives a secure, leak-free connection, meeting recognised safety and performance standards.
This compression fitting simplifies installation, requiring no special tools for fast, secure MDPE-to-steel transitions. Compliant with BS EN 10255 and BS EN 10220 industry standards, the adaptor is suited to residential, commercial and industrial gas piping systems.
With insert stiffeners included for added stability with MDPE pipe, the Primofit adaptor can withstand up to 7 bar at 20°C, with maximum operating pressure dependent on the MDPE pipe specification and standard used. It also allows angular deflection of up to 6°, useful where precise alignment is difficult on site.
A GRP sleeving nut adds extra protection at the connection point, and galvanised construction meets GIS/PL3 requirements where corrosion resistance is specified. Allowing up to 6° of angular deflection genuinely helps on site where pipe runs aren't perfectly aligned, without needing an additional fitting to correct the angle.
