A threaded pipe joint is only as good as its seal, and some joints need more than tape. GFS Pipe Thread Sealant is a liquid sealant that you apply to the threads of metal pipes and fittings before you screw them together, so it fills the gaps in the thread as the joint goes up.
It’s for metal threaded fittings such as iron, steel and brass. It’s approved to WRAS, DVGW and EN 751-1, and works from -50°C to +150°C. The sealant is odourless, chemical and vibration resistant, and helps prevent corrosion. It’s supplied in a 50ml bottle with a nozzle designed for clean application without drips, so you can apply it directly to the thread.
It’s for threads that seal on the thread. It’s not for joints that seal on a washer, olive or flat seat, so follow the fitting maker’s instructions.
