Running out of gas mid-cook or mid-heating is the classic problem with a single-cylinder supply. This HGP automatic changeover kit removes it: when the primary cylinder runs empty, the regulator switches to the reserve cylinder without interrupting the supply, so the empty cylinder can be swapped at a convenient time.
It also includes over-pressure shut-off (OPSO), which cuts off the gas supply if pressure rises above safe limits, protecting the appliances and the people using them. The two-stage regulator maintains 37mbar output for consistent appliance performance. The kit is supplied ready to install, with two 450mm galvanised overbraided high-pressure F-Valve pigtails (each with a non-return valve and excess flow valve), a mounting bracket, and a test point shut-off valve. The F-Valve (butane nut) inlet connection suits Irish Calor Gas and Flogas propane cylinders.
Installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified, registered gas installer.
