This wide, soft-spread flame burner has been especially made for Heat shrinking plastics. This includes Heat shrinking raychem Heat shrink sleeves, cable jointing and most industrial plastics applications. Output is 9.40 kw at 1 Bar. Produces a 290 mm x 54 mm flame. Consumes gas at 680 g/h. Autotorch handle sold separately.
This is a specialist burner. Not a general-purpose heating burner which uses low power. But rather a wide, soft flame burner made for Heat shrinking applications where an even, controllable spread of Heat across the entire face of the sleeve is important. The 290 mm x 54 mm flame produced by this burner is significantly broader than that of the general-purpose 2306 burner, which produces the very low temperature Heat profile needed to safely Heat-shrink. Move the flame continuously back-and-forth along the length of the sleeve during the application time. Do not let the flame dwell at any single spot.
Designed to suit raychem Heat shrink sleeves however will suit Heat-shrink products from most manufacturers as well as flooring, plastics and other sleeve materials. If you need to Heat-shrink small areas, you may use some other burners in the 2300 range using extra caution. However, if you are serious about professional cable jointing or industrial plastics work, the 2321 burner is your best choice.
