This is the spare indicating fluid for use with high specific gravity J Gauges, such as the 120mbar and 150mbar High Specific Gravity Fluid Gauge Manometers. It's an inert blue fluid with a specific gravity of 1.99 at 15ºC, non-freezing and totally non-corrosive.
Small evaporation losses occur naturally over time with any fluid-filled gauge, and this 25cc bottle allows the gauge to be topped back up to its correct level, keeping readings accurate. This fluid is for use only with J Gauges — it isn't interchangeable with standard water U gauges, which use a different fluid.
Key Features & Benefits
Correct Specification Fluid: Matched specific gravity (1.99 at 15ºC) for accurate J Gauge readings.
Non-Freezing: Suitable for use in cold working conditions.
Non-Corrosive: Safe for use within the gauge's acrylic tube and PVC chambers.
Blue Indicating Colour: Clearly visible against the gauge scale for accurate reading.
Compact 25cc Size: Enough to top up evaporation losses on a J Gauge.
Ideal For
Topping up evaporation losses on 120mbar and 150mbar High Specific Gravity J Gauges.
Gas engineers maintaining J Gauge accuracy over time.
Keeping a spare bottle on hand for gauges in regular use.
Why Buy This Product?
A J Gauge's accuracy depends on having the correct fluid at the correct level, and topping up with this matched-specification fluid keeps readings reliable rather than letting evaporation gradually skew results. Being non-freezing and non-corrosive makes it safe to top up on site without special handling precautions.
