The 120mbar High Specific Gravity Fluid Gauge, also known as the J Gauge, provides precise pressure measurements with reduced height requirements. Using a high specific gravity fluid, this U gauge reduces the normal 48" height needed for this pressure range down to just 24", while still maintaining a full measurement range of 48" (120 mbar).
It's compact at just 80cm (31.5") long and 1kg (2.2lbs) in weight, giving clear, precise readings down to 0.5 mbar (1/10" w.g.). It's ready to use straight away, with no un-coiling, un-folding or filling required. The inert, blue indicating fluid has a specific gravity of 1.99 and is non-freezing and non-corrosive. Trap tubes in the chambers prevent fluid loss from spillage, and an overpressure check valve along with a ball float in the liquid column aid reading and provide over-pressure protection. Construction includes a clear acrylic indicating tube, rigid PVC chambers, and a sliding/snap-on lid with a suspending ring. A 25cc bottle of fluid is included to top up small evaporation losses, with additional fluid available separately.
