Metal flue joints need a seal that stays flexible, because flues expand and move as they heat and cool, and a seal that sets hard will crack. It’s asbestos free and non-flammable, so there’s no risk of fire from the compound itself. It’s for jointing metal flues, for low pressure air ducts and for chasing pipes through brickwork, and it can be used inside or outside. It’s temperature resistant up to 200°C, with a service temperature of -10°C to +200°C, so don’t use it where temperatures will exceed 200°C.
