The Testo Smart Probes VAC Kit brings together four Bluetooth smart probe instruments for assessing air conditioning and ventilation systems, all coordinated through the free Testo Smart Probes app. Between them, the four probes measure air velocity and volume flow in ducts and at outlets, air and surface temperature, relative humidity, dew point, wet bulb temperature and mould risk.
The kit includes the Testo 405i thermal anemometer, with a 400mm telescopic shaft for measuring air velocity in ducts through grilles and narrow gaps; the Testo 410i vane anemometer, with a 40mm vane for higher-accuracy readings at outlets and registers; the Testo 605i thermohygrometer, with a 73mm bendable probe shaft for temperature and humidity readings in awkward locations; and the Testo 805i infrared thermometer, for non-contact surface temperature measurement with an 8-dot laser pointer and 10:1 spot-to-distance ratio.
All four instruments connect wirelessly via Bluetooth to the Testo Smart Probes app, which provides measurement menus for volume flow in ducts and at outlets, automatic dew point and wet bulb calculations, mould risk detection using a traffic light system, image documentation with IR temperature overlay, and data export as PDF or Excel by email.
The kit comes complete with a Testo Smart Case "VAC" with a foam insert, 12 x AAA batteries and four calibration protocols — one for each instrument — so it's ready to use straight out of the case.
