The 334191 is the large-diameter soft flame burner in the Promatic range — the same sweeping soot-free windproof flame technology as the 3347 (28mm) burner, scaled up for sleeve diameters from 50mm to 150mm. Where the 3347 handles thick-walled sleeves to 50mm, this 38mm burner extends the range to 150mm — covering the larger heat shrink sleeves used in medium and high-voltage cable jointing and telecommunications infrastructure work.
The fresh air inlet draws ambient air into the burner head during operation, keeping the head cool and preventing burning or charring the sleeve at the contact point. The flame is soft enough not to overheat the material but powerful enough at 11.5kW to shrink large-diameter, thick-walled sleeves efficiently. Sievert's own product page specifies the optimum working pressure as 1.5 bar rather than the 2 bar maximum — worth noting for professional cable joiners who need to dial in precise shrinking conditions.
