The Thumbturn wrench is what happens when the Footprint "Footy" gets a practical upgrade. The original 698 pattern requires you to unscrew the adjusting bolt, slide the jaw, and retighten - a two-handed job and fiddly in a tight space. The Thumbturn replaces this with a knurled nut that you spin with your thumb while holding the wrench, adjusting the jaw size without setting the tool down or using both hands. Everything else is the same as the 698 - drop forged hook, induction hardened teeth, self-tightening grip, made in Sheffield. The 7" (175mm) size is the compact version, particularly suited to smaller pipework and confined spaces.
