Regin Pressure Vessel Hand Pump
You might also like:
An expansion vessel with the wrong air pre-charge makes a heating system lose pressure or blow off its pressure relief valve. The Regin REGK30 is a freestanding hand pump made for pressurising expansion vessels, with a barrel-mounted gauge so you can see the pressure as you pump.
It has an oversize steel barrel for efficient pumping, a 3m extended hose to reach vessels in tight or awkward places, and a 0 to 5.1 bar (0 to 75 psi) gauge mounted on the barrel. It fits all standard Schrader valves, and can be used with an angled adaptor when the valve is hard to reach.
Set the pre-charge as the vessel and appliance manufacturers instruct, and don’t exceed the vessel’s maximum pressure rating. The gauge reads up to 5.1 bar. Work on heating systems and gas appliances must be carried out by a suitably qualified, registered installer in accordance with the relevant standards.
For setting an expansion vessel’s pre-charge, you want a pump with a gauge on the barrel and a hose long enough to reach the vessel. This one has both, a freestanding design and a steel barrel, and it fits standard Schrader valves.
