This hose is the compression nut and olive equivalent of the 8mm standpipe × 1/4" LH female version — same length, diameter and standard, but with a compression fitting (nut and olive) rather than a fixed standpipe on the copper end. The compression fitting allows the hose to be connected to 8mm copper pipe using the supplied nut and olive, without the need for a separate standpipe fitting. The 1/4" LH BSP female on the other end connects to left-hand threaded LPG appliance or regulator inlets in the standard way.
