Connecting flexible gas tube to a threaded fitting, appliance connection or manifold usually means a female thread on the other end. The Gastite XR2 Female Coupler Adaptor connects DN20 Gastite CSST to a 1/2" female threaded connection, with no hot works, using Gastite’s tool-less flare design and a metal-to-metal seal.
Its patented Jacket-Lock® system eliminates exposed stainless steel beyond the nut, so the cut end of the tube isn’t left exposed to the environment. The fitting body, bushings and nut are brass (CW603N), and all components are re-usable. It’s approved in accordance with BS EN 15266 for natural gas and LPG.
This fitting is for current-range Gastite DN20 CSST and is not compatible with Gastite’s previous range of DN20 fittings or pipes. It’s used only with Gastite CSST and must be installed in accordance with Gastite’s installation instructions. Simple hand tools such as tube cutters and wrenches are all you need. Gas work must be carried out by a suitably qualified, registered gas installer in accordance with the relevant standards.
