Extending or repairing a run of flexible gas tube means joining two lengths of CSST. The Gastite XR2 Equal Coupling joins two lengths of DN20 Gastite CSST end to end, with no hot works, using Gastite’s tool-less flare design and a metal-to-metal seal.
Its patented Jacket-Lock® system eliminates exposed stainless steel beyond the nut on both ends, so the cut tube ends aren’t left exposed to the environment. The fitting body, bushings and nuts are brass (CW603N), and all components are re-usable. It’s approved in accordance with BS EN 15266 for natural gas and LPG, with a maximum operating pressure of 0.5 bar.
This coupling is for current-range Gastite DN20 CSST and is not compatible with Gastite’s previous range of DN20 fittings or pipes. It’s used only with Gastite CSST and must be installed in accordance with Gastite’s installation instructions. Simple hand tools such as tube cutters and wrenches are all you need. Gas work must be carried out by a suitably qualified, registered gas installer in accordance with the relevant standards.
If a Gastite run needs extending, repairing or joining, this coupling does it without a flame and without leaving steel exposed beyond the nuts. It’s made for the Gastite system, the parts are re-usable, and it’s approved to BS EN 15266 for natural gas and LPG.
