Sweden and Belgium have gas cylinders that are threaded differently than the 21.8LH which is an industry standard in much of Europe. The Gaslow 01-1674-1 adapter makes this compatibility possible — it allows you to attach the hose from your regulator to the swedish OPD type of cylinder valves, belgian type of cylinder valves and several other types of scandinavian cylinder valves. The soft rubber cone provides a gas tight seal through compression instead of metal to metal thread contact so the adapter can be tightened firmly using just Hand pressure without requiring any tool. Do not over tighten — Hand tightening firmly should provide a reliable seal.
The 01-1674-1 is the companion part to the Gaslow 01-1674 easy-fit adaptor (that changes 21.8LH to UK propane POL) allowing you to attach your 21.8LH hose to UK propane cylinders and swedish/belgian/scandinavian cylinders — providing the two most common scenarios you may encounter during long tours in both the United Kingdom and Northern Europe.
