This thing screws right onto your UK propane cylinder and adds not one, not two but three cool features to your existing gas system - a green/ yellow / red level display that shows you when the gas is getting low, a leak detection function that lets you check for leaks without needing any extra gear and a super handy tool-free Easy-Fit hand wheel that lets you swap out a empty cylinder for a full one without needing to go searching for a spanner.
The 01-1610 sits between your propane cylinder valve and your existing regulator or hose - its not a replacement for anything, just a nice addition to the system you already have in place. To get it all set up, you simply screw the adaptor onto the cylinder by hand (no spanner needed for this bit) and then pop in your existing regulator or regulator hose into the back of the adaptor and tighten it up with a spanner. And thats it - you now get a colour-coded gas level indicator (green = good to go, yellow = need to get some more gas soon, red = urgent - we're running on fumes!) and a built in leak detection function that lets you check the whole system without needing any extra kit.
The Easy-Fit hand wheel makes life a lot easier when changing out cylinders too - no more rummaging around for a spanner, just screw it on and off by hand. The one place where a spanner is needed is when you need to tighten up the regulator-to-adaptor connection at the back of the unit.
