This thing does essentially the same job as a full gas cylinder - delivers a steady 28mbar gas supply to your BBQ - but at a fraction of the size and weight. Two standard EN417 threaded cartridges (445g or 500g) get plugged in to a single regulated supply and you get up to 10 hours of cooking gas from a package that slips into the back of your backpack and weighs under a kilogram. If you're heading out on a camping trip, having a picnic or just doing a caravan weekend where a full cylinder feels like overkill, this is the perfect solution.
The hose ends in a ¼ inch BSP left-hand thread - the standard connection found on loads of low pressure gas barbecues - so the Dual Power Pak is a pretty versatile gas supply solution that's not limited to the Cadac range. It's particularly suited to the 2 Cook 3 Classic Stove and the Safari Chef 30 LP Deluxe from the Cadac Portable range. The hose and fittings are included in the box so you can get right to it - just bear in mind this version isn't compatible with BBQs that have an integrated quick release (QR) connection - for those models, the Cadac Dual Power Pak QR is what you're after.
Important: EN417 threaded gas cartridges (445g or 500g) are not included. Make sure you check those gas connections for leaks before you start cooking and that those cartridges are properly and fully fitted before lighting the BBQ.
