This 750mm propane pigtail connects a cylinder to a W20 regulator, combining a handwheel POL connection at the cylinder end with a non-return valve and excess flow valve for backflow and overflow protection. The handwheel fitting means cylinder changes can be done by hand, without a spanner, while the NR and excess flow valves give the same safety protection as a standard non-return pigtail.
The non-return valve stops gas flowing back into the cylinder, and the excess flow valve restricts supply automatically if flow exceeds a safe rate, such as during a hose failure. Built in the UK to EN 16436-1 Class 3, the hose is rated to 30 bar working pressure with a 90 bar burst pressure, and approved by Calor Gas for use with propane cylinders.
