A pipe that has to be held away from a wall, ceiling or floor, or hung from threaded rod, needs a ring with a threaded fixing point. This Munsen ring clip holds 1/2" nominal bore iron or steel pipe in a galvanised ring with a 22mm internal diameter and a single M10 tapped hole.
You can fix the ring to an M10 threaded rod or studding, or to an M10 backplate (sold separately), so it works on walls, floors and ceilings and on horizontal or vertical pipe runs. The galvanised finish protects the ring from corrosion.
A Munsen ring is a ring that the pipe passes through, so it needs to be fitted as the pipe is installed. Choose by the pipe’s nominal bore, not its outside diameter: this ring is for 1/2" nominal bore steel pipe, which has an outside diameter of about 21.3mm. Gas pipework must be installed by a suitably qualified, registered gas installer in accordance with the relevant standards.
